Gene and Bernie’s Story
At age 78, our nest
egg had been scrambled by the economy, and I was working full time to
supplement our meager social security checks. There was little time or money
left over to really enjoy our “golden years.” We wanted to travel, do
things for our kids and grand kids and provide more support to worthwhile
ministries.
I took a hard look
at where we would be in the next five or ten years, if nothing changed. It
wasn’t pretty…and time was running out. Bernie and I needed a better plan...and
we needed it soon.
Then, out of the
blue, I received a call from my daughter Denni. She had an excitement in her
voice that I hadn’t heard in ages, as she blurted out, “Dad, I’ve found a
Godsend. I can finally become financially independent.”
She asked if I would
“take a look” at a home-based business that her long time friend was having
great success with. Denni is a single mom with 4 kids, two with special needs,
who was living from paycheck to paycheck. We were helping her out financially as
much as we could.
I didn't want to
disappoint her, but I had some serious reservations. "It might be a
pyramid scheme," I thought. Or, "I will have to sell stuff to
people." And, it would take too much of my time.
But I didn’t want to
dash her hopes by pouring cold water on her enthusiasm, so with considerable
skepticism, I embarked on an investigation and analysis of her new found
venture. To my surprise, the deeper I dug the better it looked. It made perfect
sense to add an additional stream of income that would grow automatically as my
team grew.
How had I had missed
learning about the power of earning residual income all these years? The

marketing businesses.
My research

so simple that anyone can do it, it doesn’t require selling, and the best part
is, it doesn’t take much time.
Suddenly I “saw the
light.” I could do this! Denni and I now work as a team, the residual income is
steadily growing, and we are on the road to achieving our financial and personal
goals!
